Get to know one of LaunchDM’s Developers, Tim “Eli” Dalbey
Q:Â Tell us 3 things we’d be surprised to know about you. Go!
A:Â I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in usually 3 minutes or less, I know a ton of card/magic tricks and I am a self-taught developer, as well as pretty much anything in my life. I believe I learn best from just doing it, no matter how hard I make it or how badly I screw it up. There is always something to be taken away.
Q:Â Name one product of gadget that you couldn’t personally live without.
A:Â Right now, probably the RC helicopter that I just got. It’s a blast for about 5 minutes (or at least until it dies). It serves as a nice break from my personal work!
Q:Â Do you have any personal philosophies or quotes that you prefer to live by?
A: “If it was easy, everybody would do it.”
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” – Albert Einstein
“If you are overwhelmed by the size of a problem – break it down into many bite-sized pieces.” – Chuck Close
Q:Â If you could travel anywhere in the world, no limitations, where would you go?
A: Dubai. I would like to see in person and the limitless architecture they have going on there.
Q:Â What do you like most about LaunchDM so far? Besides the team, of course.
A: The freedom to voice my opinion on projects. There is always more than one way of looking at anything and just being able to present your ideas and hear why it may or may not be a good idea. I am learning something new everyday here. Also, the long boards by the front door. Can’t wait to test them out when it gets warmer!
