LaunchDM originally began working with the team over at Giorgio in an effort to reestablish and differentiate the Giorgio Fresh Co. and Giorgio Foods Inc. brands as separate companies by creating each a fresh new website.
With a static site previously, Giorgio Foods approached LaunchDM for an update to their online presence which initially meant redesigning their branding assets to give a whole new overall look and feel. LaunchDM developed the new Giorgio Foods website on WordPress and it was also built in a responsive, mobile-friendly framework. Keeping in mind their project goal to better track their products and nutritional information, we custom-built a product importer that allows all products listed on the site to be updated from one Excel file. As a result, this allows Giorgio admins to easily edit any information or add new content themselves, rather than update each product individually.
The product pages also include a PDF generator that allow all product pages on the site to be downloaded as a PDF in real-time as admins continually update the information, never letting the information go out of date. This function allows customers, distributors and food service brokers to view the products and get a quick nutritional item snapshot to print or disperse and repurpose the information.
An additional feature on the site allows fans to upload and share their own food-inspired recipes by uploading their own creations for review. Once posted to the site, custom filters allow users to sort through hundreds of Giorgio and User prepared food recipes by course, food category or keyword.
